Ugbekile Boy Spyce’s real name is David Osemeke. He is a Nigerian Afrobeat singer and composer who rose to notoriety with the viral success of his freestyle video for Wizkid’s smash song “Essence” featuring Tems. And he got signed to a prominent record label, Mavin Records, which is controlled by Don Jazzy.
Early Life & Education
On May 10, 2001, Mr. and Mrs. Ugbekile’s son, Boy Spyce, was born in Edo State, Nigeria. He grew up in Jakande Estate Isolo, where he was born and raised. In Kankon, Badagry, he attended Lagos State Model College. David has always been interested in music, and when he was younger, he used to spend a lot of time churning out freestyles and publishing them on social media.
Career
Since going viral for them, Boy Spyce, who is known for his freestyle, has maintained a significant fan base. Don Jazzy, the founder of Mavin Records and a well-known Nigerian music producer, announced on April 14, 2022, the signing of Boy Spyce to his label. Don Jazzy stated that he has been monitoring the child since the beginning of 2019.
He joined Rema, Crayon, Ayra Starr, DiJa, Korede Bello, Dr SID, Johnny Drille, Ladipoe, DNA Twins, Magixx, and other notable musicians on the label.
On April 15th, 2022, he made his music industry debut with his debut EP project, “Boy Spyce,” which was issued by his new record company, Marvin.
