Femi Adebayo is a Nigerian lawyer, film actor, director, and producer. He was the former Special Adviser to the Governor of Kwara State on Arts, Culture, and Tourism. He is also the son of the veteran actor, Adebayo Salami.

Early Life & Education

Olufemi Lawal Adebayo was born in Lagos, Nigeria on December 31, 1972. He is the son of Salami Adebayo, also known as Oga Bello, a powerful and intelligent Nollywood actor.

He was born in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. Surprisingly, he is granted citizenship by the Nigerian government in 1978. Adebayo Salami, his father, is known as Oga Bella. He comes from a polygamous family, according to Femi’s information. His father is the father of approximately twelve (12) children. The majority of them are graduates.

Femi received his primary and secondary education at Jender Age and Oke-Ode Grammar School, respectively.

In Lagos State, Nigeria, Femi completed both his primary and secondary school education, earning both his First School Leaving Certificate and his West African Senior School Certificate.

Femi then earned an LL.B and a Master’s Degree in Theatre Art from the University of Ilorin. He is also pursuing his Doctorate Degree in Law at the University of Ilorin in Kwara State, Nigeria’s southwestern region, where he combines his acting career and studies.

Career

Femi Lateef Adebayo attended the University of Ilorin and majored in law. He then went on to earn a Master’s degree in Theatre Arts.

Adebayo’s ambition since he was a child has been to become a lawyer. Oga Bello, his father, is a very supportive father, especially when it comes to his children’s careers. And, because that is what they want, he does not bother himself with any career they choose to study; he gives them his full attention and support.

Femi practiced law for two years, but he was always interested in the entertainment industry. Seeing his father on television on a regular basis encouraged him to pursue his dream.

Femi was a teen when he saw his father’s acted film on television. Then he became obsessed with acting. His father gave him the freedom to choose his own job. So, in addition to his law practice, he began to play various roles in films. However, he will have to work hard for a long time to establish himself as an actor.

Personal Life

They first met in 1998 at the University of Ilorin. Khadijat was a first-year student in the Department of Computer Science at the time, and Femi was a third-year student in the Department of Law. They dated for six years before marrying in 2004. They have three children.

Femi married his first wife, Khadijat Adebayo, but the marriage did not last. Eight years later, on October 9, 2016, he married Omotayo Sanusi. who gave birth to their first child in 2018, He has four children in total.

Political Career

Adebayo was appointed to the State Executive Council by Kwara State Governor in 2016. He was also the Governor’s Special Assistant (SA) for Arts, Culture, and Tourism.

Alhaji Isiaka Gold, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), announced the decision to dissolve the council in 2018.

Prior to this announcement, the Kwara Youth Group encouraged the actor to run for the position of Member of the Kwara State House of Assembly in the next general election. However, the actor was still considering it and had not made up his mind.

Many people in Kwara have praised Adebayo for his outstanding contribution to the development of Arts, Culture, and Tourism in the state.

J-15 School of Arts

Femi Adebayo runs a performing arts school in Ibadan. J15 was founded in 2008 and has produced several young actors in Nigeria who are outperforming the established ones.
