Obi Cubana, a well-known Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, was born on April 12, 1975, in Oba, Anambra State, to Mr. and Mrs. Iyiegbu.
Obi is a native of Oba, a community in Anambra State’s Idemili-South Local Government Area, where he was born in the late 1970s as the fourth child of his parents’ grown-up children.
Obi received his elementary and secondary education at Central Primary School and Dennis Memorial Grammar School, respectively. He received both his First School Leaving Certificate and his West African Senior School Certificate there.
He was later admitted to the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) in Enugu State, Nigeria. He studied Political Science at UNN and graduated with honors.

He has been married since 2008. He’s married to a lawyer and founder of KIEK Foundation, Ebele Iyiegbu with whom he has four children. All boys.
KIEK Foundation is a foundation founded by Obi Cubana’s wife, Ebele Iyiegbu to help and improve the lives of the less-privileged children academically, socially, and otherwise.
Obi Cubana Mother’s Burial
Mrs. Ezinne Iyiegbu, Cubana’s mother, died in December 2020. Ezenne Iyiegbu was laid to rest on July 18, 2021, but there was more. Because of how things turned out, her burial became one of the most popular in Nigeria. The event was attended by men of various dignitaries.
In fact, there was so much to eat and drink that it felt like a carnival. Furthermore, many friends and family members brought numerous items, including over 250 cows and money in various currencies.
