I Once Stole Tricycle For Money – Bella Shmurda

Bella Shmurda, the Nigerian artist, has spoken out about his past problems.

In a new documentary titled ‘Bella Shmurda: Tension in Ibadan 2024,’ the musician admitted to making rash judgments.

The ‘Cash App’ hitmaker revealed that he once inked a transaction that did not go as planned. He recalled how he once stole a tricycle for money.

“I should not have rushed. We will never get to see the future. So everybody is rushing,” he said.

“I went into some things that did not later pay off. I went to sign a deal with rush which later was funny.

“I stole keke because of money but Alhamdulilah, I am here today.”

Bella Shmurda, born Akinyibi Ahmed, launched his career in 2019 with the release of his smash track ‘Vision 2020’.

In 2020, he released ‘Cash App’ with Zlatan Ibile and Lincoln.

The song propelled him to fame, earning him a nomination in the ‘Next Rated’ category at the 14th Headies.

Shmurda’s debut album, ‘Hypertension’, was released in October 2022. He has also garnered numerous accolades for his craft.

In November 2023, the singer had a baby son.

Shmurda announced the birth of his kid on social media, saying that it offered him “another chance and a new purpose”.

“What is lost can never be replaced, but I have another chance, a new lease on life. A new purpose. I am a new Daddy; do not disturb,” he said.
