Immigration Seeks Entry For All Nigerians With Expired Passports

According to confirmation from the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), it has written letters to embassies, high commissions, concerned parties, and airlines requesting that no one who can demonstrate their Nigerian citizenship be refused entry into the nation, emphasizing that a valid proof of citizenship is an expired passport.

Nigerians possessing a legitimate form of identity cannot be denied admission into the nation, according to a brief post made by NIS on its X account on Sunday.

“You can’t refuse a Nigerian (with valid means of identity – expired or not) into his/her country. Nigeria belongs to us all,” the post read.
