Early Life & Education
Iya Awero was born in Lagos on October 3, 1950. She was born and spent the majority of his childhood in Lagos Island, Lagos State, which is located in southwestern Nigeria. She received her primary education at Oduwabore Memorial School in Mushin, Lagos. She attended Ibadan Children’s Home School in Oyo State, St. Peters Faaji School in Lagos Island, and Molas High School in Lagos Island. Before she began acting, Iya Awero attended the School of Drama, where she received training.
Career
Lanre Hassan began her acting career while still in secondary school with the well-known Ojo Ladipo theatre group. She has since appeared in over 50 Nollywood films. The popular television comedy series “Comedy Half Hour,” in which Iya Awero plays the title role, is produced by the Ojo Ladipo Theatre Group. Her popularity has skyrocketed, and she is now well-known throughout Nigeria.
