Toyin Abraham, a Nigerian actress, has recreated her famous comedy series ‘Alakada’ with a new sequel called ‘Alakada! Bad and Boujee’.
‘Alakada! Bad and Boujee’ is the fifth installment in the popular ‘Alakada’ film series.
The film contains a funny plot centered on the character Yetunde, played by Abraham.
Yetunde, a young woman struggling with feelings of inadequacy, navigates her society by inventing complex stories about her social standing to conceal her worries.
Following the popularity of ‘Alakada’ (2009), Abraham released ‘Alakada 2’ (2013), ‘Alakada Reloaded’ (2017), and ‘Fate of Alakada’ in 2020.
On Wednesday, Abraham announced the next sequel to Alakada over Instagram.
She also revealed that it will hit cinemas in December.
“Say Bad and Boujee!!! Alakada: Bad and Bouje #abbmovie in Cinemas from December,” she wrote.
Abraham, whose acting career began in 2003, thrived in front of the camera. She also made great achievements as a producer.
With films like ‘Elevator Baby’, ‘Prophetess’, ‘Malaika’, ‘Ijakumo’, and ‘Ghost and the Tout Too’ to her credit, she continues to demonstrate her variety and talent in the field.
The actress has had countless nominations and accolades to her credit.
In 2017, she won the Five Continents International Film Festival’s Best Supporting Actress Feature Film award for ‘Hakkunde’.
In 2020, she won the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) for Best Actress in a Drama for her role in ‘Elevator Baby’.
