Davido thanked Memphis Depay, a Dutch footballer, on social media for presenting him a Rolex watch worth millions of naira during his birthday party.
Memphis, the Atletico Madrid striker, recently celebrated his 30th birthday with a star-studded ceremony in Madrid, Spain.
Celebrities from the football and entertainment industries attended the event.
Some of the attendees include Real Madrid players David Alaba, Jude Bellingham, and Vinicius Jnr., as well as Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.
Davido also performed some of his biggest hits, such as ‘Unavailable’ and ‘Over Dem’, for the audience.
In an Instagram post, Davido thanked Memphis for giving him the Rolex watch as a birthday gift.
The Afrobeats star claimed that he has never gotten gifts before and has always been the one gifting to others.
“N**ga bought me a @rolex on his own birthday !!! I never receive gifts I’ve always been the one to gift Pple! I love and appreciate you @memphisdepay… also lemme get some of that hair Lool,” he wrote on his Insta Story.

Memphis was born February 13, 1994, to a Ghanaian father and a Dutch mother.
He started his professional career at PSV Eindhoven.He won the Dutch Footballer of the Year award in 2015.
Before joining Barcelona in 2021, he played for Manchester United and Lyon in 2015 and 2017, respectively.
He later joined Atletico Madrid in 2023.
Memphis is well recognized for its hip-hop music.
In contrast, Davido is a well-known figure in Africa’s music industry.
