10-Year-Old Hephzibah Akinwale Sets Record with 58,000-word Fiction Novel

Hephzibah Akinwale, ten years old, has released a 58,000-word novel. The East Cambridgeshire native and Little Thetford C of E Primary School student is the author of the middle-grade fiction novel “Chronicles of The Time Keepers – Whisked Away.”

Akinwale is the protagonist of her work. She has strange dreams that are so genuine that they seem to be a part of her regular existence. She had no idea that her dreams will lead her on an unbelievable voyage beyond her wildest fantasies.

Akinwale has eclipsed 11-year-old Manikya Sanghi, the multiple award-winning author of “Wizard of Sansanadia,” who held the record for the longest fiction novel written by a child, reaching 44,000 words, according to the International Book of Records.

Akinwale has not only shattered the record, but she has also set a new benchmark for aspiring young authors worldwide.

Chika Akinwale, the 10-year-old’s mother, feels that her daughter’s achievements would inspire other children to pursue their creative hobbies.

Chika Akinwale said, “In light of Black History Month (October), I feel her achievement can inspire other children, especially children of color as she is a young girl of color herself, according to ELY Standard.

“Furthermore, in recognition of her talents and contributions, my daughter was recently selected as one of the top 20 young people to help East Cambridgeshire District Council celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III, contributing to her positive influence in the local community.”
