Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), congratulated nine Faculty of Law alumni on their first-class honours in the recently released Bar final examination results.
According to reports, this is the highest achievement in a single academic year in the history of the university’s Faculty of Law.
On Friday, February 16, the university released a statement on its official Facebook page.
According to the statement, the outstanding students are Akinmusire Sina Victor, Owolabi Yusuf Olatunji, Badmus Sulaimon Ayodele, Oyede Mariam Adejumoke, Afolabi Aderonke Salmat, Lawal Adebisi Bilqees, Haastrup Adetumbi Wuraola, Fagbolade Ewaoluwa Blessing, and Ogungbo Azeezat Toluwalase.
According to Prof Olatunji-Bello, this success strengthens the LASU Law program’s status as Nigeria’s flagship faculty for prospective law students.
She complimented the Dean, Professor Olatoye, and the entire faculty on their achievement.
“This result is an evidence of the dedication and diligence of all staff. I am so proud of you all. Congratulations!”
According to HowNG, Aminat Yusuf, a law student at LASU, was recognized by Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for achieving a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 5.0.
On Friday, June 16, Sanwo-Olu congratulated Yusuf on his outstanding achievement. Sanwo-Olu expressed satisfaction over the student’s remarkable academic success and stated that Lagos State will continue to foster academic greatness.
The governor did, however, say that the student’s perseverance and hard work had finally paid off. “I am particularly delighted to learn of the remarkable academic achievements of 282 students who received first-class honours in the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 sessions. As a state, we will continue to recognize and encourage intellectual success.”
