Early Life & Education
Poco Lee was born in Lagos on October 21, 1996, to Mr. Kenneth Iweh and Mrs. Augustina. He is from Iweh in the Orlu LGA of Imo State, Nigeria. Poco Lee is the third child of his parents’ five children. Poco grew up in Ojo, Lagos, and received his primary education at the Nigerian Navy Basic School, Okokomaiko in Ojo. He received his secondary education at Command Day Secondary School in Ojo Barracks, Lagos State. In December 2019, he graduated from Lagos State University (LASU) with a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology.
Career
Poco Lee’s passion for dance dates back to his college days. His biggest break came when he posted a video of himself dancing to the popular dances Zanku and Legwork at a Lagos State University (LASU) event, which earned him a Tunde Ednut Instagram repost. The one-minute video quickly went viral online, appearing on the profiles of various celebrities and catching the attention of dance creator Zlatan Ibile, who quickly collaborated with him and enlisted his participation in the video for the song Zanku.
Poco Lee has met with artists such as 2baba, Zlatan Ibile, Wizkid, Naira Marley, Davido, Burna Boy, and many others. On the plus side, he has appeared in music videos for songs performed by the aforementioned famous musicians. Since then, he has also established himself as a professional dancer in the entertainment industry.
