‘I Ran For My Life In 2019’ – Gucci Branch Disowns Marlian Records

Gucci Branch, a former Naira Marley associate, has addressed his rumored affiliations with Marlian Records.

The murder of Mohbad, a former Marlian Records signee, has sparked debate on social media, spurring examination of the music firm and its employees.

Gucci Branch stated in a recent Instagram post that he cut relations with Naira Marley, the owner of Marlian Records, a long time ago.

Branch, born Abubakar Musa, stated that he has been “running for my life since 2019.” He also stated that he has been living on his own since then.

“I heard they are searching for me, why are people searching for me? I ran for my life since 2019, I am lowkey now,” he wrote.

“I am not part of the Marlians neither am I affiliated with Zlatan Ibile or Jago. I am on my own.”

Gucci Branch has kept a low profile after being arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in 2019 alongside Naira Marley, Zlatan Ibrahim, and Rahman Jago.

DJ Splash, another entertainer who worked for Marlian Music, is suffering from mental illness.

Following Mohbad’s death, thousands of people demanded that Marlian Records be banned.
