8 Nigerian States With Poorest IGR Profile

Gov. Ayodele Fayose’s Ekiti state is among states with the poorest Internally Generated Revenue profile for 2014 according to figures released yesterday by the National Bureau of Statistics.

The IGR made by the states excludes the monthly allocations, which they receive from the Federation Accounts Allocation Committee.

The six states with the lowest internal generated revenue are

Zamfara – N3.1bn
Ekiti – N3.4bn
Kebbi – N3.8bn
Nasarawa – N4.05bn
Bauchi – N4.8bn
Sokoto – N5.6bn
Niger – N5.7bn
Katsina- N6.2bn

However, 13 states are yet to submit their report to the NBS.
