The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given Lighthouse University a functioning license in Edo.

Lighthouse University is a private institution located in Evbuobanosa Community, on the Benin-Agbor Expressway in Edo’s Orhionmwon LGA.

The issuance of the operational certificate is contained in serial number 149, dated 22/2/2024.

It reads: “Upon fulfilment of all requirements laid down in education (National Minimum Standards and Establishment of Institutions) Act, Cap. E3 Laws of Federal of Nigeria 2004, the federal government has approved the establishment of Lighthouse University.

“And it is registered and permitted to operate as a private university in Nigeria.”

They include Mass Communication, Political Science, Management Sciences, Sociology, Biological Sciences, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Computer Engineering.

Lighthouse University was established by Gospel Light International Ministries (GLIM).
